Community group of parents and all who are concerned working to combat the opioid crisis in Brunswick County.
It is the Heart of Wilmington’s mission to combat addiction as a united front. Heart of Wilmington is a not for profit organization that utilizes the already available resources within the community in the most efficient way, to provide individuals with the most effective and personalized treatment options to help in recovery and overcoming opiate addictions. We will assist the programs that already exist, but lack the necessary funding, to help them better serve the community by mobilizing those who want to help the cause while raising funds and awareness.

JCANS a 501C3 non profit serving the user as well as the family members of those suffering from substance use disorder. We are a safe place for those seeking information allowing them to communicate with us regarding available recovery programs and treatment options. Our partnerships with other organization allow us to place someone into detox and recovery programs with no regard for ability to pay. Our partnerships enable us to provide syringe exchange services, Naloxone, detox, and rehabilitation. JCANS continues to expand our partnerships to offer additional services to those we serve. Our heart to serve and assist others is motivated by the loss of our son Jonathan to substance use and our passion to show Christ’s love to those in need.
